Star positions, connecting lines and great circles are deliberately placed, not a photograph of the sky.
Moonrise and moonset
The watch calculates both itself, without a phone and accurate to 21 seconds on average.
16 skies, 7 with the Milky Way
Eight themes for AMOLED, eight for colour MIP. Four and three of them respectively draw the band of the Milky Way along the galactic equator, softly veiled behind every reading.
One catalogue, many fields
Each of the four fields can be freely chosen or switched off, plus seven date lines, some with weather.
Redrawn for every watch
Continuous light on AMOLED, set points of light on colour MIP, native pixels on the Instinct. No display shows a scaled copy of another.
A long press opens Garmin
On touch devices, a long press on a data field opens the matching Garmin view: steps to daily activity, heart rate to the heart rate view, weather to the weather view.
